Green Remodeling

We recognize that Green building and remodeling is no longer a luxury or an option… it is our responsibility and obligation to both that of our resources and our customers.

We use a common sense approach to Green remodeling and many of these practices add NO extra cost.

• We recycle everything from demolition debris to construction scraps and leftovers.
• We keep a “Cut Center” on each job so that very little lumber is wasted.
• We upgrade the insulation and air sealing on al exterior all walls and roofs.
• We condition all crawl spaces and upgrade vapor barriers.
• We use Zero VOC primers and Low VOC paints.
• We use lumber conservation measures and “Engineered Products” which reduce tree consumption.
• We use PVC exterior trim which also reduces lumber consumption.
• We offer a full line of energy efficient doors, windows, lights, and many other Green products that qualify for energy efficiency tax credits.

 

For the home owner who wishes to move toward even higher Green standards we work in tandem with Earthcraft House (EarthcraftHouse.com) to qualify their project for either a silver, gold, or platinum status.  This includes blower-door testing and duct-blaster testing.
